Here’s a roadmap to guide you through the admissions process for local students:

1. Explore Laureates Academy:

    • Browse our website to learn about our philosophy, curriculum, and the unique learning environment we offer. Also, make sure that you read about our tuition fees and understand the payment and tuition fee and (optional) boarding costs structure before you apply. You may also talk to some of our counselors to learn more about our school. You can arrange a phone conversation with our counselors either via email (registrar@Laureates.ca) or via phone +1(647)455-2606.

2. Gather Application Materials:

    • Online Application Form: Complete the online application form available on our website. You may alternatively email our Registrar’s Office at (registrar@Laureates.ca) to receive a soft copy or hard copy of the application form. Ensure you provide accurate and complete information.

    • Report Cards: Submit official copies of your child’s most recent report cards. If you are applying to high school, we will need ALL your previous high school report cards AND transcript.

    • Teacher Recommendation: Request a teacher recommendation letter from a current teacher who can speak to your child’s academic abilities, potential, and overall strengths.

    • Optional: Standardized Test Scores: While not mandatory, you can submit standardized test scores (if available) to provide additional context to your child’s application.

3. Admissions Assessment:

Students who meet the initial application requirements will be shortlisted for the next step.

    • Assessment Day: Shortlisted applicants will be invited to participate in an Assessment Day. This may involve a writing sample, a problem-solving activity, and an interview with our admissions committee. Students will stay the whole day at school during the Assessment Day. The Assessment Day is designed to assess your child’s potential fit within our program, and their eagerness to learn.

4. Admissions Decision:

    • Application Review: The admissions committee will carefully review all application materials and Assessment Day results.

    • Communication: We will notify you of the admissions decision within a specified timeframe. You will receive a formal letter outlining the decision and next steps.
