Department of Mathematics and Computer Science: Led by passionate mathematicians and computer scientists, this department offers a rich blend of curriculum-based learning (aligned with the Ontario curriculum) and creative problem-solving activities. Students will delve into challenging math puzzles, explore the exciting world of computer science, and gain valuable skills in engineering and coding.
Department of Science: Our science department goes beyond textbooks. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, students will engage in hands-on experiments across Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Earth Sciences. This interactive approach fosters a deep understanding of scientific concepts and ignites a passion for discovery.
Department of Language Arts: This department champions a holistic approach to language learning. Students will not only solidify their foundation in speaking, listening, reading, writing, and grammar, but also develop essential 21st-century skills. Our curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, debate, persuasive communication, media production, and social media literacy. The Languages Department also oversees captivating courses in Geography, History, and Civics.
Department of Arts: The Arts Department cultivates creativity and self-expression through engaging visual arts, music, and dance courses. Students will explore various artistic mediums, hone their musical talents, and develop their appreciation for the performing arts.

Leading our esteemed Mathematics department is Mrs. Nazgol Shahbandi, a visionary educator, an accomplished data scientist, a machine learning and artificial intelligence ( ML & AI) expert, and a strong CEO with a contagious passion for the subject. She fosters a dynamic learning environment that ignites curiosity and empowers students to unlock their full potential. This passion for applied mathematics stems from her impressive academic journey, having earned a master’s degree from the prestigious University of Waterloo, a world-renowned institution in the field, and pursuing doctoral candidacy at the esteemed University of Toronto. Under her guidance, the Mathematics Department has achieved a national-level reputation for excellence. She is also a long advocate for diversity and equity and a well-recognized national mentor in collaboration with Canada’s Prosperity Project, Rosie Mentoring Program. As Mrs. Shahbandi believes in a bright future for Laureates students career-wise, she has been generously utilizing her rich academic and industry network to enrich the learning environment and create invaluable opportunities for Laureates students and staff such as multiple workshops and research opportunities with prestigious universities such as the University of Toronto, University Health Network, University of Ottawa, and University of Waterloo and participation in ML & AI conferences in Canada’s energy industry.
