Description

Elementary Sewing and Fashion course teaches students a variety of techniques in sewing including choosing the right needle, right thread and right fabric, hand stitches, simple machine stitching, zigzag stitches, seams finishing, Applique, zippers, understitching, sewing a button, French stitching, mitered corners, scalloped edges, embroidery stitches, blanket stitches, cross stitch, purl stitch, and invisible zippers. Beside its artistic content, this course gives students a unique sense of attention, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Elementary Sewing and Fashion course enables students to design and implement clothes from scratch.

The course is offered from grade 1 to grade 8. The knowledge and skills learned will increase in each grade and so does the complexity of garments sewn.
