Elementary 3D Printing

This inspiring course teaches students to create 3D object using 3D pens and 3D printers. through 5 years of taking this course, students will first learn how to use 3D pens to create their three dimensional objects. The 3D design and programing of 3D printers build and reinforce STEM skills in geometry, art, math, and science towards meeting the ever increasing need of 3D printing in modern societies. Students will learn 2D & 3D Design, Digital Fabrication with Laser cutting & 3D Printing, Robotics – Arduino, Servo, CPXWeb Development Basics (HTML/CSS), Internet of Things and How to incorporate Maker Learning Recipe into teaching. The 3D Printing course will enable students to design and build any three dimensional object including toys, tools, cars, airplanes ships etc. on computers and have them printed on a 3D printer.

The course is offered from grade 4 to grade 8. The knowledge and skills learned will increase in each grade and so does the complexity of 3D objects made.

Recommended Accessories: This course requires a physical drone and a tablet (both provided by school). Once students complete each lesson, they need a tablet to try out the programs they build to control the drone. Tablets and drones may be shared between all students in a classroom and take turns flying the drone.
